Since I've been using Booking.com for a while, I have never experienced any problems. I make sure to read all of the T&Cs thoroughly and with extreme caution. My only complaint is that it appears that major booking websites, such as this one, are involved in price fixing. Everything is priced the same by them all. Not favorable to competition.

Booking
City where company is located (optional): Port Macquarie

I have been unsuccessfully trying to get a refund for accomodation that’s overbooked in Port Macquarie since May. I have wasted too much time speaking with the call Center and still can’t see my money back on my credit card.

Booking accomodation

This is absolutely the worst customer servive ever had.... The "customer service member" refused to put me onto the complaints department after they refused to refund a booking thats affected by a new covid19 lockdown..... So i ask to speak to a manager.... "the manager supposedly refused to take the call" So i ask to speak to the complaints team and i am told no, i asked why they refused to pass me on and their response was "no one will be able to help you and they only take email". This goes on for 45 minutes until they intentionally hang up on me.

*Take note, i was entirely nice to them the whole way through the conversation

Travel refund not being paid
City where company is located (optional): Australia

We have been attempting to get a refund for accomodation it Paris refunded since June. Today a staff member from their help centre via phone said the Australian government website saying Australians can’t travel is not good enough to confirm we can’t travel. We require an official letter from the government. We have received refund from all other travel providers except bookings.com

Accom was for 11/9 this year and booked in January. Their FAQ at that time which we have a copy of said we deal direct with booking.com and not the hotel. Also we could receive a refund not just a credit voucher.

Chap today says that does not mean anything.

Then we were hung up on.
