Let me start by saying that from what I've read, this is more of a complaint site than a review site. That's okay; everyone needs to let off steam occasionally. In the past eight years, there have been three delivery and one with assembly; all have been polite and on time. Never any problems. I've only bought in-store, so I can only speak to that, however you can get excellent quality products at reasonable costs if you look at the display, ask questions, and read the tags before you buy. I will keep shopping there as I've never been let down.

I love Ikea and always have, but their collection returns system is awful.
I wish to speak to someone as soon as possible.

I have tried to return part of this order but to no avail. I live in Mackay, QLD and cannot therefore return myself.
The website goes round in circles but without telling me specifically how to arrange a collection.
I tried to phone once, the wait time was 41 minutes.
I phoned again, 20 minute wait time and got through to someone who said her name was Lily Pamaka. I was beginning to think it was a spam call after she was singularly unhelpful. She took down my details and said her system was slow. There were very long delays in her saying anything. I had to keep asking if she was still there. I kept patient, but honestly don’t know what she was doing. At times she made funny clucking noises, at other times she muttered, ‘oh dear’. The phone call lasted 41 minutes. She then took my number and said she’d call me back in 10 minutes. This was two days ago.
I tried again today to call, but was told wait time on phone is 42 minutes. I am too busy to wait that long.
Can someone please call me ASAP otherwise I will have to write to head office with a further complaint.
Thank you,

Jeanette Stewart

Victimization and discrimination of my Chinese wife by the counter staff.
Why is there no complaint contact information on IKEA's websites? Not interested in resolving issues. We have to go to other websites to find that information?! Too big, too many customers I recon. Would give a flying rats. I recommend to the public to begin the process of decoupling from them. A monopoly is never a good thing for anyone in the long run. IKEA has grown too big and created a form of dependency like any big company.

Non Delivery of Items purchased
City where company is located (optional): Richmond

I ordered a few Items from Ikea Richmond on the 6th of November. Delivery fate due 22 November. Contact attempted by phone last Thursday, waited 22 minutes and no-one picked up. Tried their virtual assistant, absolutely useless. Rang again today but gave up after 35 minutes. I can understand items maybe being out of stock even though it said available but decent courtesy would be to let the purchaser know. Absolutely deplorable service, well no service at all. Regards Andrew, Melbourne

Service Manger CHRIS

Unbelievable. Manger CHRIS extremely rude and ill mannered to the customer . Not seen anywhere else such rude unaccepted customer service. He was putting all the blame on customer that customer actually complained for. Ikea is just a name. Extremely poor service. Do not go there and waste your time for Ikea craze. Just have to give rating so I had to mark one start else I should give the 0 or -10
