I just transferred my mom's old Optus phone. In contrast, the customer service was exceptional and the network in rural NSW is completely operational. I am really grateful to Telstra!
no service at all technicians did come to house when they ment to waited all morning said it was fixed worked one day then had book other technicians then phone still not working for whole weak poor mum is old and not well and needs phone but they didn't care just make another booking but stiĺl didn't come or message me like last weak to say the phone was fixed but wasn't fixed just no customer services no more
useless company with useless service, chargingi the public for services not supplied. Robbers and theives

Changed plan earlier this year for my elderly sister. Was paying $60 per month for quite sometime unnecessarily , as she never used the internet, nor needed it for Netflix etc.
A friend told me about the Telstra home essential plan of $27 per month with obviously no internet. Switched her over to this plan, however at least 3 or 4 months in a row, I have needed to call Telstra to amend the bills as she is continually now getting bills in excess of $300. I don’t have the time or patience to hold while I get through, then forced to hold while they try to rectify, even when I’m told all will be ok for next bill, I don’t trust their systems, can’t understand why a large company like Telstra can’t correct a simple accounting error, imagine the poor elderly that don’t have anyone or the skills to query. My sister has anxiety every time she gets her Telstra Bill. Can someone please please fix the problem, last month Telstra actually suspended her account because of the outstanding balance, which really angered me and was only when I told them :
A. It’s their error!!!
B. If she had a medical emergency and couldn’t ring 000 the outcome would be on them.
Didn’t take too long to get reinstated but seriously do we have to resort to those threats.
Anyway some more lost time this month have received the July account so here we go again.
Disconnected ph just got out off hospital an notification for 5th next mth
Told me my number wrong even thou ringing off number told 158 then 192 when I got back to Telstra an after that they hang up on me got mother to organise payment an was told 249 an payed with rec number still can’t use terrible service will put on all formats off media

I can’t even tick a box as if my 87yr old mother didn’t need a landline they would not be my internet provider. How can you go on internet to book a call from them if you don’t have a mobile or landline that works. And when you get to talk on phone they want you to play with a modem for half an hour. Seriously after months am able to move my mobile and say goodbye Telstra
Absolute disgrace - pitiful customer service - beyond woeful.
They quote 24x7, but every different number you ring brings you back to the same centre which tells you that it closed at 8pm and to ring in the morning - useless as!!
I paid the overdue bill this morning ( with NO notice prior to disconnection i might add) and was told repeatedly (verbally and on recorded message) that it would be reconnected within 2hrs - outright LIE - its now been just under 12hrs and neither myself, my wife nor either of my children have been able to call or text on their mobiles in that time - why?
Because we are on reduced service, none of us can access internet and which means my children cannot cannot do any of their homework or assignments this evening - they are both quite stressed.
And I simply cannot talk to anyone at all at Telstra now to get it resolved - a bloody joke!
This company is a joke, a farce and totally unaccountable.
At best I might get an apology but that won't help my kids get their assignments completed.

Very bad customer service. Still hanging on phone. Two hours later. Telstra should have upgraded Foxtel box but can't get anyone to fix problem. considering cancelling telstra and foxtel.
