Where I live, in Victoria Point, there is a local service center. a composed, effective, and amiable employee. No fee because my GP recommended it under Medicare. lovely, spotless rooms. I sincerely appreciate your support, everyone.

Bit of feedback for QML Annerley, QLD this morning 15/5/2021, we reached there at 7am, due to Covid-19 restrictions, capacity inside the lab was reduced to just 4 hence after arriving (for my son and my blood test) we waited with others outside and people continued to check if there is enough space for them to go in after they saw people coming out of the lab. Around 7.30am it was us next in line but still not enough space for us inside so we waited outside. A lady with a child straight walked into the lab and didn't come out. After a few mins I opened the door, and asked if she had an appointment, she said no and I asked her to join the queue outside. She wasn't happy but walked out to join the queue. FYI - QML employee responsible for taking doctor's referral heard us loud and clear and questioned us for not coming in and letting her get in.

As we went in, they took my blood sample first as my son waited. After I came out my son mentioned that they called that lady (who broke the queue) from outside and she was probably giving her blood sample. I asked the QML employee at the desk if she had an appointment and he said no and said it's not his responsibility to check who is next in queue. Correct, he won't know but when I asked him to at least check if they were in queue or not as even from inside the lab you could see a long queue, he said they are understaffed and busy hence they don't have time. What made me even more upset is that after knowing that the lady broke the queue, he didn't make any effort to drop her from the queue and rather called her from outside. Worst part being people outside won't even know that someone walked in and out, didn't follow the queue while people waited at least between 30 to 60 mins in the queue.

Wait, it's not over yet. As my sample was collected, we were waiting for my son's sample to be collected but the guy next in line was called. When I asked about my son, the QML employee there said oh sorry, we collected your sample for yours as well as your son's blood test. Of course I wasn't happy but they called my son next and corrected the problem (at least this is what they told me). I hope for the reason I was there, our blood sample to be collected, at least that's done properly.
I believe that QML should do just 2 things to fix it:

1. Have a queue guideline printed and pasted outside and just ask if people have appointment and if not, confirm that they were in queue.

2. Be extremely careful about whose blood sample they are collecting and what has been requested by doctor.

Anyways, all I can say is that it was a terrible experience this morning and I have no desire to go back there.
